Decisive hook shot gives Matrix third consecutive win
January 9, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Montreal Royal News Release
Montreal, Canada. The ABA Montreal Matrix registered a third consecutive win by defeating the Baltimore Pearls 104-103 in one of the season's most exciting games. Trailing by seven points early in the fourth quarter, the team engineered a come-from-behind win that was sealed in dramatic fashion by Quilninous "Q" Randall in the dying seconds of the game.
"It was the gutsiest win I have been involved in," said Matrix head coach Ed Jones, who possesses over 30 years of coaching experience. "You have to give a lot of credit to the players. They fought hard and battled back," he added, "with the final shot being extremely exciting."
The Matrix are quickly improving and looking to move higher into the rankings when they play on Friday, Jan 13th at 7pm when they host the Harlem Strong Dogs at the Pierre-Charbonneau Center.
