
First-Place RazorSharks Return Home For Weekend Matinee

(Rochester, N.Y.)Å The Rochester RazorSharks (13-3) of the American Basketball Association continued their recent hot streak into first place in the Connie Hawkins Division by winning an important road game 113-111 against the Maryland Nighthawks last Saturday night The RazorSharks will travel to Buffalo Wednesday, January 11 to take on the rival Rapids, before returning to the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, January 14 to host the Baltimore Pearls at 2:05 p.m. in a matinee game.
Rochester jumped into first place with a win Saturday in Rockville, Maryland thanks to a last second jumper by forward Chris Carrawell (Duke), who scored 23 points in the win. With the victory, the RazorSharks went to 13-3 on the season, moving further ahead in the Connie Hawkins Division as the Nighthawks dropped to 12-5.
NEXT HOME GAME: The RazorSharks will be back home Saturday, January 14 for a special afternoon game against the Baltimore Pearls at 2:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. This is the first meeting of the year between the two teams with the Pearls currently in last place at 2-9.
... All kids 12 and under can purchase a general admission ticket for $5.00 when accompanied by an adult who purchases a regular full priced general admission ticket. ... During halftime there will be a special tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. in observance of MLK Day. ... After the game all fans will be able to obtain selected player autographs in the arena atrium ... There will be a "Meet the Players" party at The Keg, located at 315 Gregory Street at 5:00 p.m. ... The game will be broadcast live on WHTK AM-1280 radio ... The game will also be televised on a tape-delayed basis on UPN 18 television on Sunday, January 15 at 8:00 p.m.
