DeBarr Deals Lemurs Loss

Grand Prairie, TX - Grand Prairie Airhogs (10-8) starting pitcher Nick DeBarr (4-0) was masterful as he deals the Laredo Lemurs (8-10) a 5-1 loss.

Debarr pitched nine complete innings, giving up two hits, one run, while striking out four. Debarr retired the Lemurs in order in every inning except for the third where the Lemurs brought five batters to the plate. The other eight innings all saw only three batters in the inning.

In the third the Lemurs Jeff Vincent walked and Jimmy Mojica followed up with a triple to right that brought in Vincent from first base.

Leonard Giammanco (0-2) took the loss in his first professional start, working three and a third innings, and dodging trouble trouble twice. Giammanco saw red for the third time in the fourth against the Airhogs, and wasn't able to pull off the magic trick for the again, as the air hogs would post three runs, on three triples, and a single in the fourth to make it 3-1 Hogs.

Andreas Rodriguez homered off the Lemurs new relief pitcher Manny Ayala to make it 4-1 Airhogs. They would add one more run in the seventh to bring it a 5-1 final.

The Lemurs will be in Grand Prairie on Wednesday and will be home to take on the Amarillo Sox Thursday through Sundat at Uni-Trade Stadium in Laredo, Texas. All games are set for 7:30pm. You can get tickets online at www.laredolemurs.com or by phone at 956-7LEMURS.
