LAKELAND - Game two of a three-game series between the Daytona Cubs and Lakeland Flying Tigers has been due to heavy rains in the area. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, September 3rd. The first game of the double-dip will begin at 5 p.m. with game two commencing 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
The Flying Tigers took game one of the series, 3-2. Shortstop Hernan Perez delivered the deciding blow in the bottom of the ninth. Perez's single off of Chris Siegfried brought home catcher Jordan Newton for the win.
