Charlotte Stone Crabs News Release
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - As the Charlotte Stone Crabs Inaugural Season draws near a close with the last home series against the Sarasota Reds, the team would like to thank its fans with "Fan Appreciation Weekend" starting this Friday, September 4, at Charlotte Sports Park.
The final, three-game homestand of the 2009 regular season will feature hundreds of random giveaways including team merchandise, gift cards from local restaurants like Carrabba's, Joe Cracker, Hooters, Smoothie King, and more, Cal Ripken, Jr. autographed memorabilia and even a big-screen television during Saturday's game. Some of the prizes will be done by a drawing and others will be handed out during the games to particular seat locations.
Saturday also marks another Top 10 Promotional Night with "Fan Appreciation Night" featuring the television giveaway and a special, end-of-season fireworks spectacular immediately after the game. Friday and Saturday's games start at 7:05 p.m. while Sunday's game starts at 5:35 p.m. with gates opening an hour before first pitch each night.
"Our Inaugural Season has been a tremendous success, and our amazing fans are the reason for that," said Joe Hart, general manager of the Stone Crabs. "We want to reward them for their support with a great, final weekend of the regular season that continues to give them the best bang for their buck."
Tickets are still available for all three games and start at just $5 for advance purchases. Fans can call 941-206-HITS, visit the Charlotte Sports Park box office or check stonecrabsbaseball.com for tickets.
