Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems continue their home stand on Saturday in a rematch from Thursday night with the Evansville IceMen on Cassano's Italian Ice.

The Gems (14-19-7) look to continue their winning ways after edging the Rush in a physical and thrilling shootout victory inside the historic Hara Arena on Friday night. Scoring for the Gems were Charlie Townsend, David Nimmo and Brandon Naurato (shootout winner).

Gameday In Dayton

The Gems welcome the IceMen into the comfy confines of Hara Arena for the fourth time this season. Dayton is 0-5-2 against Evansville this season and are 0-2-1 against the IceMen at home.

Dayton remains winless against Evansville this season, most recently dropping a tough2-1 loss Thursday night. Despite taking a one goal lead into the third period, the Gems would be forced to watch the IceMen score two unanswered goals in the final frame of regulation to fall inside the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Scoring for the Gems was Damian Surma.

The IceMen (25-9-4) skate onto Cassano's Italian ice also hot off a Turner Conference win, last night outlasting the Bloomington Blaze 5-2. Evansville remains in the top spot in the conference, two points ahead of second place Fort Wayne.

Saturday night's game will be known as "Jam it for Jimmy", with the Gems donating $1 from each ticket sold to area teenage cancer patient Jimmy Jenks as he continues to battle the deadly disease.

The first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive a limited edition Gems red youth jersey, while area mascots will be on hand throughout the night to celebrate Blade's birthday.

Mark the Spot - Dayton's newly acquired netminder Mark Sibbald comes in a trade from Allen. He was named the 10/11 SPHL Goalie of the Year while with the Huntsville Havoc.

All Star Lutes - Brett Lutes represented the Gem City as the lone Gems player participating in the 2012 All Star Game. Luteswould earn two assists and a +5 rating to help his CHL All Star team beat the CHL's Arizona Sundogs 6-4.

New Guys! - The Gems welcome fresh blood to the roster with the addition of forwards Robin Richards, David Nimmo and goaltender Mark Sibbald.

Mixed Martial Awesome - Friday night's win against the Rush would feature Charlie Townsend and Robin Richards drop their mitts to engage in fisticuffs, helping propel their team to the 3-2 win.

The Closer - Dayton's Tim Hartung sits tied for most Game Winning Goals by a defenseman with 3, while leading the CHL'sblueliners in Shootout Goals with 2.

Powerplay Master - Brandon Naurato remains second best in the CHL in powerplay goals with 8. He also scored the game winner Friday night in the shootout.
