PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Six different players scored for the Arizona Sundogs including three power play goals and a shorthanded tally for a 6-3 win over the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday night at Tim's Toyota Center.

Samson Mahbod's second period power play goal proved to be the game-winner. Scott Reid earned his 11th win of the season for Arizona (13-22-7), stopping 28 shots. The win snapped a six-game winless skid for the Sundogs and pulled them into a tie with Laredo for sixth place in the CHL's Berry Conference.

Arizona's Kyle Hood opened up the game's scoring with the first period's only goal just 2:05 into the contest from Olivier Proulx.

JP Chabot extended Arizona's lead to 2-0 with a man-advantage goal at the front of the net 7:29 into the second period. Bobby Chaumont answered back for the Komets (25-13-2), but Proulx tallied his first goal as a Sundog less than a minute later from Kevin Petovello and Jesse Perrin at 11:37.

After Mahbod's goal, Chaumont scored his second of the game on the power play for Fort Wayne to cap the second period scoring with a 4-2 lead for the Sundogs.

Arizona extended their lead again on Craig Macdonald's shorthanded breakaway with 7:53 left in the third. The goal marked a third straight game the Sundogs recorded a shorthanded goal. Fort Wayne's Jean-Michel Rizk cut the lead to two, but Tyler Butler added another power play strike for the Sundogs with 4:48 left in the contest.

Nick Boucher took the loss for the Komets, stopping 26 of 30 shots. He was relieved late in the second period by backup Gerry Festa, who finished 13 of 15 in net.

The Sundogs went 3-for-11 on the power play while the Komets finished 2-for-7

The Sundogs now head out on their longest road stretch of the season - 11 games. Arizona visits Missouri on Friday for a pair of weekend games. The puck drops at 6:05 PM MST.
