Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers announce the signings of left wing Aaron Foster and defenseman Bryan Nathe and the retirement of Jason Crain. Jason Crain has accepted a job in Columbus and will not return to the Bombers this season.

Aaron Foster, a 21-year old native of Lloydminster, Alberta, was acquired from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in June to complete an earlier trade. In his rookie season, Foster tallied 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points and one hundred penalty minutes. The 6'4", 212 pound left winger, turned pro after four years with the Prince George Cougars in the Western Hockey League where he scored 42 goals and 47 assists for 89 points over his last two years.

"Aaron got a late start last year because of injury, but he made an immediate impact. He has a unique mix of size, skill and toughness. Aaron has the natural abilities and drive to get to the next level," said Don MacAdam, Bombers co-owner.

Bryan Nathe, a 21-year old defenseman from Elk River, Minnesota, joins the Bombers for his rookie season. He played the last year and a half in the Western Hockey League after playing a year and a half at Northeastern University. Last year, as the captain of the Everett Silvertips, he scored 4 goals and 19 assists for 23 points during the regular season and added 2 goals and 6 assists for eight points in the playoffs.

"Bryan is a solid all around defenseman who should be able to play in all situations. He has a lot of experience for a rookie as he has played both college and major junior hockey," added MacAdam.

Jason Crain will not be playing for the Bombers this year as he has accepted a job with a company in Columbus, Ohio where he attended The Ohio State University. This opportunity came after Crain had signed with the Bombers for the upcoming season. "Jason will be missed as he was a solid player, but more importantly, he is a solid person. We wish Jason the best in his new career," said MacAdam.

The Dayton Bombers are the proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets and a member of the ECHL - America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Dayton Bombers home opener is October 29th at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Season ticket packages for the 2004-05 season are available by calling the Bombers' office at 937-775-4747.
