Dawson Named to CHL All-Star Squad

The Bloomington Blaze, presented by Mid-Illini Credit Union, will have one of their captains and top defensemen in uniform for the upcoming Central Hockey League All-Star Game.

Aaron Dawson has been named to the 19-member All-Star squad for the game on January 11 at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona, the home of the Arizona Sundogs. The All-Star Game will feature the host Arizona Sundogs against the CHL team. Dawson has scored seven goals with six assists for 13 points this season, and he is fourth in the CHL in goals by defensemen. He is also third on the team with 43 penalty minutes.

The Blaze are in Dayton for tonight's 6 p.m. Central contest against the Gems at Hara Arena. The game can be heard on WJBC.com and viewed on CHL-TV beginning at 5:45 p.m. The Blaze return home Friday to face the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 p.m. on a Pepsi Date Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a Pepsi product to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum box office when buying a reserved seat ticket to receive a second ticket free. Pepsi products will be donated to the Clare House Food Pantry. Also on Friday, with the purchase of any combo meal, the second combo meal of equal or lesser value is free.
