December 29, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release

The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced that Killer Bees forward Aaron Lee has been named as a reserve to the 2012 Central Hockey League All-Star team. Lee has been one of the most powerful offensive weapons in the CHL this season and is second in the league with 14 goals.

"I am very proud of Aaron and his accomplishments this season, highlighted by his call-up to the AHL," said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He is a fan favorite in the Valley for good reason. His attitude, work ethic, and ability are second to none and it's all part of my theory that good things happen to good people."

Lee first joined the Bees for the 2008-09 season and since then has played in 216 games in a Killer Bees uniform, second all-time in a franchise history, a mark Lee is set to break this January.

Since joining the Bees Lee has scored 73 goals and racked up 77 assists good for 150 points, nearing him to the top of the leaderboard in every offensive category.

This season also marked a momentous occasion in Lee's career has he played his first professional hockey game in a uniform other than the Killer Bees. Lee was called to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) in December.

The Killer Bees are in Arizona for a three-game set against the Sundogs starting Friday night. The puck drops at 8:05 p.m. and fans can follow the game on 956sports.com and CHL-TV.
