Davis Placed On Lynx DL

OTTAWA - Lynx reliever Kane Davis has been placed on the disabled list with a groin injury, retroactive to June 3rd.

The 31-year-old righty was slated to start yesterday's game against the Richmond Braves but was unable to take the mound after hurting his groin. RHP Rick Bauer made the start in his place. This is Davis's second trip to the DL this season. He was out of action from April 12th to the 19th with lower back inflammation.

Davis is in his 15th season of professional baseball. He is 1-1 with a 2.33 ERA in 16 games with the Lynx this season. Davis has a career record of 49-54 in the Minors. He made his Major League debut with Cleveland in the year 2000 and has a 4-9 record in 96 Major League games with Cleveland, Milwaukee, Colorado and the New York Mets.
