David Wright to Rehab in St. Lucie on Monday

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - New York Mets third baseman and captain David Wright has joined the St. Lucie Mets on a rehab assignment and is set to play on Monday at First Data Field.

The Mets are hosting the Florida Fire Frogs for a four-game series. All four games at First Data Field start at 6:30 p.m.

Fans can take advantage of $5 tickets on Monday and get a $5 meal voucher that includes a beer or soda with a hot dog. The $5 tickets and meal vouchers go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at the box office. There will be other $5 deals as well.

Wright, the fourth captain in Mets history, is a seven-time National League All Star (2006-2010, 2012-2013). He won back-to-back Gold Gloves in 2007 and 2008. He also won the Silver Slugger Award those seasons.

Wright is New York's all-time leader in hits, runs, walks, RBI, doubles, game-winning RBI, go-ahead home runs and walk-off RBI.

Wright was a fulltime member of the St. Lucie Mets in 2003. That season he played in 133 games and hit .270. He led the Florida State League with 39 doubles and was voted to the FSL All Star team.

In 2013 Wright was inducted into the Florida State League Hall of Fame.
