David Beckham on Former Teammate Matuidi Signing: "I Couldn't be Happier "

Inter Miami today announced the signing of World Cup-winning French international Blaise Matuidi from Italian side Juventus FC.

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham, who played alongside the team's newest signing at PSG during the 2012-13 campaign, shared his excitement on bringing a player of his caliber on board as the Club approaches the return of its historic inaugural season.

"I couldn't be happier to welcome my friend Blaise to Inter Miami. He is an exciting and gifted player and a great person," stated Beckham. "To have a World Cup winner of Blaise's quality in our new team is such a proud moment - for us as owners and for our fans. For me personally, to have a former teammate joining our Club is very special and I can't wait to welcome him and his beautiful family to Miami."

The all-action midfielder boosts the Club's inaugural roster following numerous years racking up titles while amongst the ranks of some of the top teams in European soccer, including four Ligue 1 and three Serie A winners medals while donning the jerseys of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus respectively.
