WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Winston-Salem scored four times in the eighth inning on Tuesday night to rally and top the BlueClaws 7-6 at Truist Field.

Jordi Martinez (1-1) was charged with all four runs, three earned, in the inning which began with two walks. A throwing error led to the first run scoring. Tim Elko then tripled in two to tie the game and Michael Turner's SAC fly gave the Dash their first lead of the game.

Jersey Shore put runners on the corners in the ninth but Vince Vannelle got Anthony Quirion to ground into a game-ending 6-4-3 double play. Vannelle (1-1) had allowed one run in the eighth but earned his first win of the season.

The Dash (41-40) got back over .500 with the win while Jersey Shore (42-42) fell back to .500 with the loss.

The BlueClaws opened the scoring with four runs in the fourth inning. Marcus Lee Sang opened the scoring with an RBI single. Rixon Wingrove followed with a three-run home run, his team-leading 14th of the season, to put the BlueClaws up 4-0.

Gabriel Cotto, who began the year with the BlueClaws before going to Clearwater, made his first Jersey Shore start since May. He threw three scoreless innings before allowing a three-run home run to Loidel Chapelli in the fourth. It was Chapelli's seventh home run of the season.

The BlueClaws added a run in the sixth when Wingrove scored from third on a passed ball. Erick Brito added an RBI single in the eighth for a 6-3 lead.

Cotto gave up three runs in five innings. Jack Dallas came on in the sixth and threw two scoreless innings, adding three strikeouts.
