Winston-Salem Dash News Release

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JULY 3, 2011) - Chicago White Sox minor league conditioning coordinator Dale Torborg will be the guest color commentator for the Independence Day television broadcast of the Winston-Salem Dash's game against the Salem Red Sox. The game can be seen on WXII's THIS Carolina channel beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday. THIS Carolina will also air the fireworks celebration at BB&T Ballpark live following the game.

Torborg is in his eighth season as the overseer of the White Sox minor league strength and conditioning program. Prior joining the White Sox, he spent two seasons as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the Florida Marlins. Torborg played two seasons of minor league baseball with the New York Yankees and Mets, including a stint in nearby Greensboro. His playing career was cut short following an eye injury he suffered after being hit by a pitch.

The son of former major league manager Jeff Torborg, Dale spent five years as a professional wrestler named "The Demon" with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Hulk Hogan's XTreme Wrestling Federation. He was also known as "The Kiss Demon," representing the band "Kiss." White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski joined him in the ring as part of TNA Wrestling pay-per-view events in 2005 and 2006. Torborg has also appeared in the movie "Transporter 2" and in various commercials.

The remaining television schedule for Dash games this season is as follows:

Friday, July 22 vs. Potomac Nationals (7 PM)

Friday, August 26 vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans (7 PM)

Friday, September 2 vs. Salem Red Sox (7 PM)
