Daniel promoted to AAA Syracuse - Fermaint joins Sens from Hagerstown

The Harrisburg Senators announce today that OF Michael Daniel has been promoted to AAA Syracuse and OF Charlie Fermaint is joining the Senators from Hagerstown.

Fermaint was a fourth round selection in 2003 draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He reached AA for the first time this season, starting the season with Huntsville but was released after just five games. He was signed by the Nationals in May and assigned to Hagerstown. In 78 games with Hagerstown he batted .254 with 4 hr and 29 rbi and 13 sb.

Daniel is going to AAA for the first time in his career. He has played in Harrisburg the past two seasons. Daniel batted .250 in 107 games with 7 hr and 42 rbi.

With these moves the Senators roster stands at 24 active. There are now just five players from the opening day roster that are still with the Senators.
