Dallas Stars Loan Forward Chase Wheatcroft to Texas Stars

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has loaned forward Chase Wheatcroft to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Wheatcroft, 21, skated in one preseason game during the 2023 preseason against the Minnesota Wild and recorded 4:33 of time on ice.
The 6-foot-2, 192-pound forward finished the 2022-23 campaign ranked second in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with 107 points (47-60--107) in 68 games with the Prince George Cougars, trailing only Regina's Connor Bedard in that category. Wheatcroft also finished tied for fourth in the WHL in goals (47), eighth in assists (60) and first in power-play tallies (22). He also shared first in overtime goals (3) and sixth in game winners (7). In the postseason, Wheatcroft posted seven points (5-2--7) in 10 games with Prince George.
