Dallas Desperados Dancers to Entertain Troops

The Dallas Desperados Dancers – the hip-hop dance squad of the Arena Football League's Dallas Desperados – embark on their first-ever military visit as the travel to the Fort Hood Army Post for a two-day goodwill tour. Joining the 25 dancers on their trip will be Kid Coyote, the Dallas Desperados official mascot.

During their trip to Fort Hood, the dancers are scheduled to visit U.S. troops in the field, participate with approximately 20,000 troops in PT (physical training) at 6:00 a.m. Friday morning, teach a "hip-hop dance workshop" to the children living on Post, sign autographs at the Post Exchange and premier their first-ever "3-D Show." The show will include 50-75 children from the Post and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Feb. 22.

The Dallas Desperados Dancers are honored to be the first AFL dance team in the league's 17-year history to be invited to support U.S. military troops and their families at Fort Hood. The Desperados Dancers join Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and the Portland Trailblazers Dancers as recent entertainers supporting the troops at Fort Hood.
