BURN AT CHICAGO SATURDAY ON FOX SPORTS NET SOUTHWEST
The Burn will renew an old rivalry as they travel to Chicago to face the Fire on Saturday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. in a game televised on FOX Sports Net Southwest. Chicago, despite a rash of injuries and World Cup call-ups this year, currently sit atop the Eastern Conference with 17 points and are the highest scoring team in the league with 19 goals.
BURN/FIRE SERIES NOTES
Chicago leads the all-time series, 8-6-1...all three meetings last year went to overtime, with each team winning one and the third resulting in a tie...the Burn has won only once in Chicago, posting a 1-6-1 record on the road...Burn forward Jason Kreis has four goals and seven assists for 15 points in 15 career games vs. the Fire while Ante Razov has six goals and one assist for 13 points in 11 games vs. Dallas.
RHINE NAMED MLS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Burn forward Bobby Rhine has been named the MLS Player of the Week following his performance last Saturday vs. Colorado. Rhine netted the third hat trick in team history and also added an assist in the Burn's 4-1 victory over the Rapids. The seven points also tied a Burn record for points in a game, set by Jason Kreis on March 20, 1999. Rhine becomes the second Burn player to garner the Player of the Week award this season after Kreis received the honor in Week 7 with the game-winning goal and an assist vs. the MetroStars.
VACA, MARTINEZ RACKING UP ASSISTS OF LATE
Midfielders Joselito Vaca and Antonio Martinez have been on an assist tear in recent weeks. With an assist last Saturday vs. Colorado, Vaca has now registered five assists and one goal in the last six games. Martinez, meanwhile, has dished for six assists in the last four games, including a three-assist game vs. Colorado on May 18 and a pair of assists in last weekend's match. Martinez and Vaca are currently tied for second in the league in assists with six with Vaca leading the league in game-winning assists with three.
BURN TO FACE MILWAUKEE RAMPAGE MONDAY, JUNE 17
Following their game Saturday at Chicago, the Burn will bus to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday for an exhibition match vs. the Milwaukee Rampage of the A-League. The Burn will square off against the Rampage on Monday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m. (CT) at the Milwaukee Rampage Sports Complex. The Rampage are currently on top of the Central Division with 31 points through nine games.
GAME AT KANSAS CITY ON JULY 31 CHANGED TO 7:00 P.M. KICKOFF
The Burn game on Saturday, July 31 at Kansas City will no longer be televised on ESPN2 and, as a result, has been changed to a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The game will now be televised on FOX Sports Net Southwest. Additionally, the game on August 17 at the MetroStars will no longer be televised on FOX Sports Net Southwest but will be available on DirecTV and on Dish Net.
US GAME WATCHING PARTY AT BEN'S ON FRIDAY
Once again, Ben's Half Yard House on Greenville Avenue will be the place to be as the United States National Team faces Poland this Friday, June 14 at 6:25 a.m. in a crucial World Cup match. A win or a tie by the US will put them through to the next round of World Cup play. Last night, Ben's was standing room only with over 400 fans in attendance for the United States' 1-1 draw with South Korea.
BOBBY RHINE ON INSIDE SOCCER TUESDAY
Fresh off of his three goal, one assist performance Saturday, Burn forward Bobby Rhine will be the in-studio guest on Tuesday's edition of "Inside Soccer" on FOX Sports Radio 1190 AM. In addition to Rhine, Burn fan Kevin Lindstrom, who is in Korea for the World Cup, will check in with a World Cup report. "Inside Soccer," the only soccer-specific show in the Metroplex, airs every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
TEXAS SPURS ENTER OPEN CUP PLAY THIS WEDNESDAY
The Texas Spurs of the PDL, coached by former Burn defender and assistant coach Ed Puskarich, will begin play in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this Wednesday, June 12 vs. the Memphis Express at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Texas at Dallas. The Spurs won their four Open Cup qualifying games while the Express was the PDL wildcard. Tickets for Wednesday's match are $5 for adults and $3 for kids.

BURN NOTES
* The Burn's current attendance average of 13,086 is 10% ahead of this point last season.
* Through 11 games, forward Jason Kreis has already surpassed last season's total goal output of seven. Kreis' eight goals are on pace to break the Burn record for goals in a season of 18, set by Kreis in his MVP season in 1999.
* Despite not registering a shutout this year, goalkeeper Matt Jordan ranks third in the league with a goals-against average of 1.21.

Wednesday, June 12 - Bobby Rhine will be signing autographs at Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. as part of a Father's Day promotion.
