BURN AT COLORADO SUNDAY ON FOX SPORTS 1190 AM, KESS 1270 AM The Burn faces yet another crucial Western Conference match as they travel to Colorado to face the Rapids on Sunday September 1 at 8:00 p.m. at Invesco Field at Mile High. The Burn is currently in second place in the Western Conference, just four points ahead of the fourth-place Rapids. Sunday's game will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1190 and in Spanish on KESS 1270 AM.

BURN/RAPIDS SERIES NOTES

Dallas leads the all-time series vs. Colorado, 12-10-1...the two teams have met three times in MLS action this year, with the Burn going 2-0-1...the Burn also defeated the Rapids in the quarterfinals of the Open Cup, 1-0 in overtime...Dallas currently has a four-game unbeaten streak vs. Colorado, going 3-0-1 while outscoring the Rapids 15-7 over that span...Jason Kreis has six goals and seven assists for 19 points in 23 games vs. the Rapids.

BRUTAL SCHEDULE UPCOMING FOR DALLAS

The Burn's game at Colorado next Sunday marks the start of one of the most brutal stretches of games in team history, as the team will play three games in five days. Following Sunday's match, the team will travel to Los Angeles on Monday in anticipation of Tuesday's Open Cup semifinal match vs. the Galaxy. The team will then return to Dallas on Wednesday afternoon to prepare for a match against the MetroStars at the Cotton Bowl on Thursday night.

BURN TIED FOR BEST WINNING PERCENTAGE IN LEAGUE

Despite trailing San Jose in the standings by two points, the Burn is tied with the Earthquakes for the best winning percentage in the league at .604. The best winning percentage in team history was in 1999, when the Burn finished with a winning percentage of .594 (19-13).

KREIS STILL WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE OF SCORING TITLE

Although he has only registered one goal and two assists in the last six games, Burn forward Jason Kreis is still within striking distance of capturing the Budweiser scoring title. With four games remaining in the season, Kreis trails scoring leaders Carlos Ruiz and Taylor Twellman by only five points. With 30 points on the year, Kreis currently ranks sixth in the league in scoring.

PAREJA OUT DUE TO CAUTION POINTS, KREIS ONE POINT SHY OF SUSPENSION

With a yellow card in last Saturday's match vs. Los Angeles, Oscar Pareja has surpassed 21 caution points and will serve a one-game suspension at Colorado on September 1. Additionally, forward Jason Kreis is just one caution point shy of reaching the 21-point plateau.

JOHNSON, STONE AND US UNDER-20 TEAM FALLS TO BRAZIL

Playing with only ten men for the final 56 minutes of the match, the US U-20 squad led midway through the second half but surrendered two late goals and fell 2-1 to Brazil in the opening match of the C.O.T.I.F. XIX Torneig Internacional in L'Alcunia, Spain on Saturday. Burn forward Eddie Johnson, who played the full 90 minutes, contributed on the first goal, stealing the ball deep in Brazil's half of the field to set up the United States' only goal of the match. Burn midfielder Jordan Stone came on as a sub in the 41st minute. The team next plays Italy today before facing Ukraine on Tuesday. The top teams in each group advance to the semifinals on August 28.

JASON KREIS ON INSIDE SOCCER TUESDAY

Burn forward Jason Kreis will be the in-studio guest on this week's edition of "Inside Soccer." "Inside Soccer," the only soccer-specific show in the Metroplex, airs every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on FOX Sports 1190 AM.

PLAYER APPEARANCE

Thursday, August 29 - Burn defender Ryan Suarez will be signing autographs at the Panda Express at 17602 Midway Road from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Fans who purchase food at Panda Express will receive two free tickets to the Burn game vs. the MetroStars on September 5.

BURN NOTES

* The 15,883 fans in attendance at the Burn's game vs. Los Angeles on Saturday marked the largest August crowd in team history. The previous high was 14,033 on August 28, 1999. Additionally, the Burn's current attendance average of 13,178 is 5% higher than last year's regular season average.

* The Burn has the fewest losses in the league at six, with the team being shutout in five of the six losses.

* Dallas is 8-0-3 when scoring the first goal of the game, tops in the league at .864. They also lead the league in winning percentage when allowing the first goal at .385 (3-6-4).

* The Burn is 5-1-0 in one-goal games for a league-best winning percentage of .833.
