(Windsor) Spitfires right-winger Dale Mitchell is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, September 28th. Mitchell scored two goals and added two assists for a total of four points in two games, leading the Spitfires to a perfect 2-0 record last week.
Mitchell scored one goal in the Windsor Spitfires home opening game, a 5-0 victory over the Sarnia Sting on September 25th. The following night, Mitchell scored one goal to go along with two assists for three points and was selected as the game's first star in Windsor's 4-2 win over the London Knights.
Mitchell, a native of Mississauga, Ontario was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round (74th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.
