Dal Colle Named to Hockey Canada's World Junior Selection Camp

The Oshawa Generals and Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, are excited to announce that team Captain Michael Dal Colle has been selected to participate in team Canada's 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship training camp.

"We are extremely proud of all our players, but Michael is one that has stood out for a number of years," says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "He is an elite player, our Captain and a Memorial Cup Champion, we hope to see him as a Canadian World Junior Gold Medalist, and we know he will represent the Oshawa Generals well."

The selection camp, which runs Dec. 10-14 at the MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke, Ont., will feature two games against a team of players from Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) on Dec. 12 and 13. The CIS roster was announced on Monday and features 20 Canadian Hockey League graduates.

Micheal Dal Colle is in his fourth season with the Oshawa Generals, last year Dal Colle was first on the team in points with 93. The Woodbridge Ont. Native is 6'2" and 190 lbs. he currently has 21 points in 25 games with the Oshawa Generals. Dal Colle is the fifth overall pick of the New York Islanders in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
