Des Moines Buccaneers News Release

For the second consecutive time, Des Moines Buccaneers goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week.

Dahlmeir (Uncommitted//Lakeville, Minn.) allowed two goals in two games, stopping 38 of 40 shots helping the Buccaneers earn four points last weekend. The 2003-born goaltender posted a 1.00 goals against average and .965 save percentage in those two games. The Buccaneers topped Omaha 7-1 on Thursday, and bested Lincoln 4-1 on Friday with Dahlmeir in goal.

"It was another solid outing for Ethan this past weekend. It is hard to win hockey games in this league, especially on the road. To do it in two different buildings on back-to-back nights speaks to the growth of his game since the start of our season," said Head Coach and General Manager Matt Curley.

Dahlmeir has won his last five starts for the Buccaneers, allowing just eight goals in those five games, averaging just under 23 saves per game. In that five-game stretch, Dahlmeir posted a .923 save percentage and 1.57 GAA.

The Buccaneers are on the road Wednesday, Nov. 22 for a Thanksgiving Eve game at Sioux Falls, and back home on Black Friday for a Black Out game at 7:00 pm CT. Tickets are available at tickets.bucshockey.com or at the Ticket Office in person during regular business hours or by phone at 515-278-2827. To book your group outing or party, contact Sarah Rivera in the Ticket Office or at sarah@bucshockey.com.
