Burnevik Wins USHL Forward of the Week

Following a hat trick and an assist on Saturday night, it was definitely in the realm of possibility that Capitols forward Austin Burnevik would capture the league's top forward of the week award, and that came to fruition this evening. The USHL announced that Burnevik along with Leo Gruba (Fargo) and Ethan Dahlmeir (Des Moines) took home their position's top honor for the week.

Burnevik started his weekend with a goal and an assist in Madison's 5-3 loss to Green Bay at home, which was followed up with the second hat trick of the season by a Capitols forward, Finn Brink on 9/29. The six point weekend for Burnevik is the top stretch for the forward since joining Madison at the beginning of the year.

After the explosive weekend offensively, the St. Cloud State commit is now tied for the team lead in points with 18 with Max Nagel. The pair is now tied for 12th in the league in points in the league with eight other skaters.
