Burnevik, Gruba and Dahlmeir Selected for League Honors

Austin Burnevik (Madison), Leo Gruba (Fargo) and Ethan Dahlmeir (Des Moines) have earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 9, the league announced Monday

Forward of the Week

Austin Burnevik | Madison | Blaine, Minn.

NCAA Commitment: St. Cloud State

Birth Year: 2005

2 GP, 4 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, 13 shots on goal, +4, 1 power play goal, 1 game-winning goal

Including a hat trick, racked up four points in a 6-4 win over Green Bay last Saturday

Had the game-winning goal vs. the Gamblers in helping the Capitols end a four-game losing streak. Stands tied for second in the league with three game-winning goals on the season

Has 9-9- 18 in 17 GP on the season to tie for 13th on USHL scoring charts

Defenseman of the Week

Leo Gruba | Fargo | Lake Elmo, Minn.

NCAA Commitment: Minnesota

Birth Year: 2003

2 GP, 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points, 8 shots on goal, 0 plus-minus rating

Had a goal and an assist in both games played by Fargo last week

Led all league defensemen with two goals and tied for the league lead in points by a defenseman with four last week

Has 7-12--19 in 16 games played as the top-scoring defenseman in the league this year

Goaltender of the Week

Ethan Dahlmeir | Des Moines | Lakeville, Minn.

Birth Year: 2003

2 GP, 2-0-0-0, 120:00 minutes, 2 GA, 38 saves, 1.00 GAA, 0.965 sv%.

Backstopped Des Moines to two road wins last week

Registered 21 saves on 22 shots in 7-1 win at Omaha last Thursday

Had 17 stops on 18 shots in 4-1 win at Lincoln last Friday

Has won last five starts and is now a back-to-back USHL Goaltender of the Week honoree
