
'Dads Win Third Straight with 7-4 Victory

Hickory, NC - The Crawdads defeated the Kannapolis Intimidators 7-4 on Saturday night. The win secures the series victory for the 'Dads, who have won the first three games of four-game the series.
The Intimidators scored two runs in the first to take an early lead over the 'Dads.
The 'Dads rallied in the second to tie the game at two. Preston Scott and Pedro Gonzalez drew walks to start the inning. Tyreque Reed grounded out but advanced the runners to second and third. Scott came in to score as the Kannapolis starter was called for a balk. Yohel Pozo hit a ground ball to short to bring in Gonzalez and tie the game.
In the bottom of the third, the 'Dads took a four-run lead. Yonny Hernandez walked and scored as Miguel Aparicio tripled to right. Ryan Dorow singled up the middle to bring in Aparicio. Gonzalez hit a two-run homer, his tenth homer of the season, to score two runs and make the score 6-2.
The Intimidators picked up a run in the fourth and a run in the fifth but still trailed the 'Dads 6-4.
The 'Dads got a run back in the eighth. Sam Huff walked to get things started for the 'Dads. He stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by the catcher. Hernandez singled on a bunt to first that brought Huff in to score.
Tyree Thompson closed things out for the 'Dads in the ninth with his fourth scoreless inning of the night.
The homestand will wrap up tomorrow evening at 5pm as the 'Dads go for the sweep over the Intimidators. Fans are encouraged to bring donations for a canned food drive benefitting the Hickory Soup Kitchen. It will also be Church Bulletin Sunday thanks to PDQ. Fans can bring a church bulletin to receive a discounted $6 ticket. The 'Dads will then donate $4 to the bulletin's respective church.
