ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia dropped the second game of the series to Augusta on Friday, 5-3. Darwin Ramos and Joshua Payne logged 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. For Ramos, his consecutive scoreless-inning streak has reached 13.2 IP.

SCOOTER: Catcher Scott Manea singled and scored a run on Friday against Augusta. He owns the best batting average on the team for the month of July: .316. He's also driven in 17 in 16 games in July.

SCOOTER, THE IRON MAN: Manea hits third and is the designated hitter on Saturday. This is Manea's 14th straight start.

EARLY BIRD: Edgardo Fermin blasted his seventh home run of the season on Thursday. Three of Fermin's long balls have come in the first inning. The 20-year-old had just three homers in his first three years of professional baseball.

INTERSTATE 20 RIVALRY: Columbia and Augusta have battled 16 times this season. Seven of these meetings have been decided by two runs or less. The Fireflies are 7-2 against the GreenJackets over the last nine encounters. Columbia recently inked its own record book in a game against Augusta on July 2. Scott Manea tied a single-game record with 6 RBIs. The Fireflies scored 16 runs, matching a club record.

DOUBLE MACHINE: Scott Manea has eight doubles in July, which is tied for the most by an individual across the Low-A level. The 22-year-old is hitting .316 and has driven in 17 runs in July.

BEST OF LUCK: Blake Tiberi was promoted to Advanced-A St. Lucie on Friday. Tiberi was phenomenal on Columbia's recent seven-game road trip. The 23-year-old went 12-for-24 (.500 BA) in six contests from July 11-17. His 12 hits are tied for the fourth-most by a player in all of MiLB during this span. In addition, Tiberi held a .339 batting average in July with the Fireflies.
