Bakersfield, CA Mar 24-The NBA Development League has named Scooter McFadgon of the Bakersfield Jam as the D-League Performer of the Week for March 26, 2007. He is the second Bakersfield player to earn the honor this season.
McFadgon entered his name into the D-League record books on Wednesday when he converted a single-game record 22 free-throws on his way to scoring 48 points in a win over the Colorado 14ers.
After scoring 11 points in a win over Colorado, McFadgon had another big game when he scored 30 points in Sunday's win over Los Angeles. For the week, McFadgon averaged 29.7 points while shooting .571 (28-49) from the field and .892 (33-37) from the free-throw line. The Jam compiled a 3-0 record during the week.
A 6-6 guard/forward, McFadgon played college basketball at Tennessee. He was acquired by Bakersfield on February 5th and has averaged 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 17 games, including 12 starts.
