D.C. United News Release

Washington, D.C. (January 9, 2013) - D.C. United today announced its 2013 Major League Soccer regular-season schedule. Winner of 12 major domestic and international titles, United begins its 18th regular season campaign on Saturday, March 2 on the road in a repeat of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals against the Houston Dynamo. The Black-and-Red will then host Real Salt Lake the following weekend for its home opener on Saturday, March 9. The club will play a 34-game schedule with an even split of 17 home matches and 17 road matches. Twenty-five of these contests will be against Eastern Conference foes.

2013 season ticket, half-season, and four-game plans are now on sale through the D.C. United office at 202-587-5000 and online at www.dcunited.com. The four-game plan includes the home opener against Real Salt Lake, the last home of the year against the Houston Dynamo, and matchups against the New York Red Bulls and the LA Galaxy. D.C. United will provide the best price, value and benefits to full season ticket holders with the club. The biggest addition to the benefit platform is a brand new social area located in the Champions Club exclusive for season ticket holders before and 30 minutes following each game. The area will have discounted food, drink and other season ticket holder items.

"This year's schedule provides all United fans great opportunity to catch their club at RFK Stadium," said Doug Hicks, Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications. "With an array of family and budget friendly ticket packages, from season tickets to a four-game entry package, it's never been easier to be a part of the Black-and-Red."

The Black-and-Red will be featured on national television a total of 12 times, and will play on NBC two times throughout the season - first during rivalry week against the New York Red Bulls in the first leg of the 2013 Atlantic Cup (3/16) and then in the last game of the season against the Houston Dynamo (10/27). Times for non-nationally televised games at home have been moved from the traditional 7:30pm slot to 7:00pm for the 2013 season. D.C. United's full playing calendar will include fixtures in other competitions, with these dates and times to be announced in the weeks ahead. Please note that the entire schedule is subject to change.
