Toronto FC Releases 2013 MLS Regular Season Schedule

Toronto FC will open the seventh season in club history, and first for newly appointed Head Coach Ryan Nelsen on Saturday, March 2 in Vancouver against the Whitecaps FC. It will mark the seventh consecutive year the team will open the season on the road.

Toronto FC will then host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, March 9 to open the club's home schedule. The Reds will remain on Canadian soil for the duration of the month of March with matches in Montreal on Saturday, March 16 and at home to the defending MLS Cup Champions' LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 30. In addition to the March 16 match in Montreal, Toronto will face the Impact twice more in league play on Wednesday, July 3 in Toronto and then to close the regular season on Saturday, October 26 at BMO Field.

During the 2013 season, Toronto FC will play 28 matches on Saturdays, four on Wednesdays along with one Friday and one Sunday. At home the club will play 14 matches on Saturdays, two on Wednesdays and one Friday. Thierry Henry and the New York Red Bulls will come to town for a pair of Saturday matches on April 27 and July 20. Ten of Toronto FC's 17 home matches come against clubs that made the playoffs during the 2012 season. The final seven matches of the 2013 regular season will all be against Eastern Conference opponents with four at home and three on the road.
