WASHINGTON, DC - D.C. United and Major League Soccer today announced dates for all 27 of the club home openers for the 2021 MLS season. The opening weekend of MLS action will kick off on Friday, April 16, including five nationally televised matches across the ABC, FOX, and Univision networks in the U.S., as well as matches on CTV, TSN, TVA and TVA Sports in Canada. D.C. United will play New York City FC on Saturday, April 17 at Audi Field with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The following week, the Black-and-Red will travel to Gillette Stadium to play against the New England Revolution in their home opener on Saturday, April 24 at 8 p.m. ET. The remainder of the 2021 MLS regular season schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Black-and-Red are continuing to work with local government and health officials to safely welcome fans back to Audi Field in 2021. The club will provide updates on fan attendance at Audi Field ahead of the 2021 home opener.
Streaming and broadcast information for D.C. United's 2021 MLS season will be announced by the club at a later date.
The 2021 opening weekend will be the first time all five national broadcast partners showcase MLS matches on their over-the-air networks, including ABC, FOX, and Univision's UniMás in the U.S., and CTV and TVA in Canada.
Due to travel restrictions between the U.S. and Canada, the three Canadian clubs will begin the MLS regular season in the U.S. with each club hosting matches in a U.S. city:
Montreal Impact: Miami, Fla.; Inter Miami CF Stadium
Toronto FC: Orlando, Fla.; Exploria Stadium
Vancouver Whitecaps FC: Sandy, Utah; Rio Tinto Stadium
