2013 FAITH NIGHT
TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Cyclones will look to close in on a Kelly Cup Playoff berth as they open a three-game homestand at U.S. Bank Arena tonight - beginning with a Wednesday match-up against the Florida Everblades. Their Sunshine State foes took a pair of meetings from the Clones back in December, both decided by a single goal. Not surprisingly, the all-time series has been close as well; Cincinnati has earned a 9-9-0 record versus the "ËBlades since 2006.

SCOUTING THE EVERBLADES: Greg Poss' club is fighting to stay in the postseason hunt as they currently sit in the eighth and final playoff spot with a seven point buffer over Kalamazoo. The Everblades are one of the best offensive teams in the ECHL but also own one of the most porous defenses; they are averaging 3.47 goals per game but are surrendering more than 3.5 per night. Mathieu Roy leads Florida in scoring, and ranks second in the league, with 64 points (29 goals, 35 assists) in 56 contests. Matthew Pistilli has also been a big weapon, posting 55 tallies in 61 games. With Rob Madore recalled to the American Hockey League, the Everblades are led in net by Pat Nagle; the former Ferris State Bulldog goaltender has gone 13-8-0-3 this season with a 3.10 goals-against average. He's 0-1 lifetime against the Cyclones with a 2.02 GAA.
Third Period Beauties: Cincinnati has continued to be one of the top third period teams in the ECHL this season. They have outscored their opponents 77-53 in the final frame...their offense ranks second best among all 23 teams.
At Home on the Road: The Clones have climbed to the top of the ECHL charts in road winning percentage. They have collected a 19-7-3 1 record away from U.S. Bank Arena this season, good for a 70% winning percentage.
Hardware for "House": Cyclones goaltender Michael Houser took home ECHL Goalie of the Week accolades after posting a 3-0 record last week with a 2.33 goals-against average. This season, Houser is 13-5-0 and has won six straight starts.
