Cutthroats Ice Chill

St. Charles, Missouri - The Denver Cutthroats and St. Charles Chill met for the second night in the three-game series on Saturday, December 7 at Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The Cutthroats defeated the Chill by two with a final 4-2 score to close the night.

The Cutthroats took an early lead in the opening period when Garett Bembridge (Michael Schumacher, Troy Schwab) wrapped around the Chill's cage to backhand the puck into the net. Denver's T.J. Fox (Matt Glasser, Aaron MacKenzie) scored the team's second goal of the night with a long slap shot from between the circles to close the period 2-0 Cutthroats.

Denver's Cam Reid (MacKenzie) netted the Cutthroats third consecutive puck of the night to put the score 3-0. St. Charles Anthony Perdicaro (Andrew Conboy, Nicklas Lindberg) cut the deficit with the Chill's first goal of the night and wrapped up the initial 40 minutes of the game 3-1 Denver Cutthroats.

Kyle OKane (Dan Weiss, Zack Josepher) scored the Chill's second and final goal with seven minutes remaining in regulation. The Chill pulled netminder Linus Lundin for a sixth-man advantage, only to give the Cutthroats Garett Bembridge (Schwab) an empty net goal. The Denver Cutthroats finished the night 4-2 over the St. Charles Chill.

The Denver Cutthroats and St. Charles Chill head to Denver to finish the three-game set at the Denver Coliseum on Wednesday, December 11.
