
Cutters Split Doubleheader

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
After dropping the first game of the doubleheader 4-0, the Crosscutters picked up a 2-0 win over the West Virginia Black Bears, capping the six-game home stand.
The Crosscutters were held to just two hits in the first game. Colton Eastman suffered the loss, allowing one run over two innings of work. Striking out three and not allowing a walk.
Ben Aklinski finished the second game 2 for 2 with a solo home run and two runs scored. James McArthur tossed four shutout innings, striking out six and allowing three walks in a no decision. Randy Alcantara worked 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, striking out two in the win and Keylan Killgore worked 1.1 innings of shutout relief, striking out four in his save.
The Crosscutters ended the six-game homestand with a record of 1-5. They are now 1-1 in doubleheaders and have tossed three shutouts while being shutout twice.
