ABERDEEN, Md. - Weather on Sunday afternoon forced a suspension of the middle game in a three-game series between the Connecticut Tigers (17-17) and Aberdeen IronBirds (13-21) at Ripken Stadium.

The game was stopped by rain in the middle of the third inning in a scoreless tie and will resume on August 29 in Aberdeen as the opener of a doubleheader when the Tigers return for another three-game series.

The third and final game of this weekend's series will be played on a later date with a time and location to be confirmed.

Two of the three games scheduled at Ripken Stadium over the weekend were affected by weather. The Tigers won the opening game on Friday, 2-1, with a go-ahead run scored by Sam McMillan on an error in the top of the ninth.

Following a New York-Penn League off day on Monday, the Tigers will open a three-game home series at Dodd Stadium on Tuesday, July 24 against the State College Spikes featuring one-dollar hot dogs on July 24, Camp Day on July 25, and Mustache Appreciation Bobblehead Night on July 26.

The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. Individual tickets for all 2018 home games, season memberships to "The Club," ticket mini plans, and Tigers team merchandise are now on sale at Dodd Stadium, over the phone at 860-887-7962, and online at CTTigers.com.
