GAME HIGHLIGHTS - Williamsport was outhit, outpitched and outfielded Thursday night in a 10-2 loss to Batavia.

Yan Carlos Olmo drove in the lone Cutter runs, slamming a two-run double to deep right-center field in the fifth inning.

Batavia went 4-for-10 with runners in scoring position and hit Crosscutters' starter Ulises Joaquin around.

The Muckdogs took a 3-0 lead in the second inning. With runners at first and second, Jonathan Keener hit an RBI single to left field. Then, Joaquin's throw to third went into left field as both Kolby Byrd and Keener scored.

In the fourth inning, Batavia scored four runs off of Joaquin. With the bases loaded, Byrd hit a two-run double to left field. Two batters later, Matt Young hit a two-run triple to make it 7-0.

Olmo cut into the deficit in the bottom of the fourth. After Greene reached on a two-out infield single and Mitch Walding hit a line-drive single to left, Olmo laced a ball over the head of center fielder Young to cut it to 7-2.

Williamsport loaded the bases in the seventh with no outs, but Jiandido Tromp popped out, Roman Quinn struck out and Tyler Greene was robbed of a line-drive double by third baseman Patrick Wisdom.

Batavia made the Cutters pay for their missed opportunity. Keener hit a three-run homer to left field to put the Muckdogs ahead for good 10-2.

The loss is Williamsport's six in eight games this season to Batavia. They drop to 27-43 on the year and to 14-14 in August.
