Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve will be hosting a yard sale benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Saturday, July 21st at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Curve fans and all those wishing to take part can join in and sell their items by reserving two parking spaces in the ballpark parking lot in exchange for a $10 donation to St. Jude. Participants keep all the proceeds from selling their items and help a great cause with their donation.
The event begins at the ballpark at 6 a.m. on the 21st. People wishing to set up their spots may arrive at the ballpark and do so from 6-6:45. The $10 donation for those wishing to participate in the yard sale will reserve two spaces in the Peoples Natural Gas Field lot, one for a car and the second beside it. Extra spaces can be obtained for an additional $10 donation to St. Jude. Cars, trucks, SUVs, and pop-up canopies are welcome. The yard sale will begin at 7 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. to be followed by the Curve's Saturday game with the Erie SeaWolves at 7 p.m.
Participants are welcome to bring their own tables to use to display their goods for sale. Tables can also be rented at the event for a $5 donation.
