
Curve Roll to 11-4 Win in Series Finale at Erie

ERIE, Pa - The Curve finished a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park with an 11-4 win over the Erie SeaWolves on Monday night. Max Moroff hit a three-run homer for the Curve while Adam Frazier and Jose Osuna each hit their first Double-A home runs.
The Curve (34-21) offense tallied 13 hits in the win. In the four games at Jerry Uht Park, the Curve totaled 44 hits against the SeaWolves (19-35), improving their Eastern League-best team batting average to .276.
Willy Garcia gave the Curve a 1-0 lead in the first inning with an RBI single, extending his hitting streak to 13 games. The streak is the longest for any Curve hitter this season and the longest active streak in the Eastern League.
After a throwing error by Erie starting pitcher Austin Kubitza (Loss, 3-5) on a sacrifice bunt by Andy Vasquez handed the Curve a 2-1 lead in the second. Later in the inning, Moroff launched a three-run home run to give Altoona a four-run lead.
Frazier extended the lead to 8-2 in the fourth with a two-run homer. He finished the game 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI.
After he doubled in a run in the fifth inning, Osuna hit solo home run to give the Curve an 11-2 lead in the seventh.
Curve starting pitcher Matt Benedict (Win, 2-2) won his second straight start, finishing with two runs allowed on seven hits in six innings with two walks and two strikeouts.
The Curve head to Reading to begin a three-game series on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. with right-hander Angel Sanchez (6-1, 2.54) pitching for Altoona. Righty Ben Lively (4-3, 3.73) will be on the mound for Reading.
