Notes/Storylines

***The Curve will be looking to set a new franchise record for wins to open a season with a victory in Game One of tonight's doubleheader. The current 4-0 start equals the start of the 2000 club.

***Altoona is the Eastern League's only undefeated team and enters tonight's game with a two-game lead in the Southern Division

***Curve hitters pounded out 46 hits over the course of this past weekend's four-game sweep of Portland and as a team hit .351

***Chris Duffy will look to continue his red-hot start. The outfielder went 9-for-16 (.563) with five runs scored in the four games against Portland over the weekend.

***In Game One, the Curve will send RHP Landon Jacobsen to the mound for his second appearance and first start of the season. The South Dakota native went 9-11 with the 2nd-best ERA in the Eastern League (2.93) with Altoona in 2003.

***In Game Two, Curve RHP Ian Snell will look to improve to 2-0 after his win in last Thursday's Home Opener (5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K) and over his first five pro seasons is now 37-9 with an outstanding 2.45 ERA

***Norwich's Game Two starter Chris Begg will be making a homecoming of sorts. He made his professional debut during the 2001 season with the Johnstown Johnnies. But even hard-core Johnnies fans probably don't remember Begg, as he made just one relief appearance for the club on the road.
