TONIGHT'S GAME CAN BE HEARD ON FOX SPORTS 1350

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY...The Aeros and Senators were washed out last night...No make-up date has been set at this time...Folks who are holding tickets for last night's rain out obtained via the Holland Oil vouchers promotion, those folks can exchange their tickets for the game on Monday, April 26 ONLY...Season ticket exchanges can be handled as usual, for any other regular season Akron Aeros home game...All exchanges must be done in-person at Infield Outfitters, the Aeros team shop, or at an Aeros Ticket Office.

SPECIAL WELCOME...Prior to tomorrow's "Education Day," Ohio Senator George Voinovich will be at Canal Park to throw out the ceremonial first-pitch, as well as to visit with the children in attendance.

THE PEN...Over the first four games of the season, the Aeros bullpen has been solid, allowing just one earned run in 20.1 innings pitched (10 H, 5 R, 1 ER, 9 BB, 17 SO).

ERRORS...The Aeros made nine errors in their first two games of the season, but none in their last two.

GUTIERREZ GETTING ON BASE...CF FRANKLIN GUTIERREZ is the only Aeros player to reach base safely in each of the first four games...Over those four games, he is batting .167 (3-18) with 3 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB & 8 SO).

AS A TEAM...Akron is currently 10th in the Eastern League with a team batting average of .219 and are fifth in team ERA with a 2.51.

ROSTER MOVES...On April 7, the Aeros placed INF TODD WEST and C CLINT CHAUNCEY on the Disabled List, both with a strained left calf muscle....The Aeros then received C VICTOR VALENCIA, who had been with the Buffalo squad...The roster now stands at the maximum 24 active players.

THE ROSTER...The Aeros 2004 Opening Day roster features some of the best young talent the Tribe's farm system has to offer, including OF FRANKLIN GUTIERREZ, whom the Indians recently acquired for OF MILTON BRADLEY...The outfield of JASON COOPER, BEN FRANCISCO and GUTIERREZ, may give them one of the most talented outfields in all of Double A ball.

YOUNGSTERS...Four of the Aeros starting pitchers are 22 years old or younger (Cruceta-22, Dittler-21, Gomez-21, Foley-21).

LUCKY 14...The 2004 Opening Day roster features 14 players from the championship squad (Alvarez, Cruceta, Evans, Rayborn, Robbins, Van Dusen, Vargas, Chauncey, Luderer, Valencia, Grindell, Inglett, Smith and playoff MVP Minges).

MAN CAN MANAGE...Heading into the 2004 season, Manager BRAD KOMMINSK has a total record of 181-101 (.642) as Aeros skipper...His 181 wins are the most by any Manager in franchise history...Brad is also the first Manager in franchise history to manage for three consecutive seasons.

HOME SWEET HOME...After starting out a dismal 3-10 last year at home, the Aeros turned it around, finishing with a regular season home record of 47-23 (.671).

ON OPENING DAY...The Indians Double A franchise is now 10-6 on Opening Days dating back to 1989.
