Curve family value reach a season high

July 4, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release

ALTOONA, Pa - Before a standing-room only crowd of 8,151, Altoona Curve fans were treated to a tremendous post-game fireworks display after watching their hometown team win a closely knit, well-played 1-0 contest over the Bowie Baysox (AA - Baltimore Orioles).

"Tonight, Altoona Curve fans proved once again they are the best in the region, no doubt about it" said Altoona Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "We're thrilled that Curve fans chose Blair County Ballpark to spend their Independence Day. It's rewarding to see them turning out in such terrific numbers despite a difficult economy."

Fans were able to take advantage of terrific family values plans such as the team's innovative Fireworks 4-Pack plan that allows fans to purchase tickets to three fireworks nights at BCB and receive a fourth one free. Also extremely well-received was the individual tickets to an all-you-can eat, two-hour buffet in the third base picnic area offered for the Fourth of July. Those tickets (which included admission to the game) were just $22 for adults and $17 for kids and included great delicious Fourth of July items like ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork and much more. To continue to offer families more for their hard-earned dollar, the Curve will offer this rare special on Sunday for their 6:05 p.m. contest versus Bowie.

The Curve opened the first game of their six-game homestand on Saturday and the fun, affordable family entertainment will continue for the next five days. Fans can take advantage of great specials and savings by calling 877-99-CURVE, visiting AltoonaCurve.com or purchasing tickets in person at the Blair County Ballpark box office during normal business hours.
