BOWIE, MD - Jonel Pacheco and Miles Durham hit back to back home runs in the fourth inning to propel Altoona over the Bowie Baysox (AA-Baltimore Orioles) in the nightcap of Sunday's double-header 5-3 at Prince George's Stadium.

Pacheco and Durham's homers broke a 1-1 tie after the teams exchanged runs in the first inning. It marks the fourth time this season two Curve players have hit consecutive homers and is the first time since Durham and Brian Friday accomplished the feat on 7/6 also against the Baysox.

Pacheco finished the night 3-for-4 hitting his team leading 14th home run and driving home two runs. CF Gorkys Hernandez also had a multi-hit night going 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Dustin Molleken (1-1) picks up his first career Double-A win since his promotion from Lynchburg (A-Advanced) on 6/23. Molleken threw 2.0 perfect innings while striking out three in relief of starter Derek Hankins who tossed 4.0 innings allowing two runs on three hits while matching a season high for strikeouts with six.

In game one of the double-header the Curve were on the wrong end of 2-1 contest as Ryohei Tanaka (4-2) out-dueled Curve right hander Mike Crotta (6-8). Pacheco and Jason Delaney were the only Curve players with multiple hits in game one with each going 2-for-3

With the win the Curve save fans another dollar off of Grandstand and Terrace level seats on August 26th as part of the team's Road to Savings promotion. With each win on the current road trip the Curve save fans $1 for their contest against the Trenton Thunder (AA-New York Yankees). Now that the Curve (54-73) are 4-2 on their week-long road trip Grandstand seats are just $2 while Terrace level seats are $4.

Only one game remains on the Curve's seven-game road trip as their season series with Bowie (64-61) comes to a close Monday night at Prince George's Stadium. LHP Donnie Veal (0-0, 0.00) will make his second MLB rehab start for the Pirates Monday night. Veal will be followed by LHP Kyle Bloom in a "piggy-back" start. Veal will be opposed by RHP Brandon Erbe (3-3, 2.26) of Bowie in Monday's series finale.

Monday's game is set to begin at 7:05 p.m. with radio coverage starting at 6:50 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Altoona Curve Radio Network.

Notes:

The Curve have yet to sweep a double-header in nine tries (0-3-6)

The Curve now have 27 wins since July 1, the same win total they had in their first three months of play.
