CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve were able to erase an deficit to avoid being swept by the Akron RubberDucks with a 7-2 win on Sunday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Hunter Morris drove in three runs and Edward Salcedo hit his third homer of the season.

With the win, the Curve (58-51) ended a three-game losing streak and snapped a span of six straight games lost to the RubberDucks (56-53).

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first, Morris belted a bases-clearing, three-run double in his first at bat with the team to put the Curve ahead, 3-1.

Salcedo extended the Curve advantage to 4-1 with a solo homer off of Jordan Cooper (Loss, 0-3) in the second inning.

Curve starter Steven Brault (Win, 5-3) finished the game with six strikeouts while allowing two runs over six innings. The lefty has now won four consecutive starts.

The RubberDucks closed the gap to 4-2 with an RBI single by Jordan Smith in the third inning.

Altoona added two runs in the sixth inning on a single by Adam Frazier, and opened the lead to 7-2 on an RBI single by Barrett Barnes.

Clario Perez and Jhondaniel Medina combined to pitch three scoreless innings. Prior to a single by Smith in the ninth inning, Curve pitchers retired eleven straight batters.
