Curve announce new ticket plan
August 1, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release
ALTOONA, Pa - On the field, the Altoona Curve were able to enjoy their first winning month of the 2009 season, going 15-14 in July. As the calendar turns to August, fans will have the chance to take advantage of the good play on the field with a new, unique ticket promotion-"Road to Savings".
When the Altoona Curve hit the road for a six-game trip against the Portland Sea Dogs and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, fans should be sure to pay attention, as for every win the Curve accumulate on the journey, they can enjoy $1 off Terrace and Grandstand level seats for the team's Thursday, August 13 home game versus the Portland Sea Dogs at Blair County Ballpark.
The $1 off-per-win offer will be good for up to five wins on the upcoming trip. For example, if the Curve win five times on the August 4-9 journey to New England, fans would then enjoy a discount of $5 on either ticket price. In this scenario, Terrance level tickets (normally priced at $8) would be just $3 while Grandstand level tickets (normally priced at $6) would be just $1.
"We figured with the team's recent success on the field, we should tie it in to a fun, unique promotion that will save our fans money and continue to provide them with terrific family values," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan.
Egan continued, "We only have a limited number of home games in August [11 games] and we want to make sure that we're maximizing the value for our fans."
The opportunity to take advantage of this offer will begin on August 5 and last through August 13. Fans can redeem the savings in person at the Blair County Ballpark ticket windows or over the phone at 877-99-CURVE. To redeem the offer through online ticket purchases at the team's website, altoonacurve.com, fans can type in the promotional code "Road to Savings." For those wishing to secure their seats before the end of the road trip, their discount will be based upon the number of wins at the time of the purchase.
Fans can follow team's progress and their chance to save by listening to flagship station ESPN Radio 1430 and Curve Radio Network affiliates or by logging on to altoonacurve.com to get updates of where the current promotion stands.
