Cumiskey and Guite returned by Colorado

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats today announced that defenseman Kyle Cumiskey and center Ben Guite have been assigned to the American Hockey League club by the Colorado Avalanche.

Cumiskey had one goal and one assist in nine games with Colorado after being called up December 28 from Albany. The 20-year-old first-year pro has four goals and 12 assists with 16 penalty minutes in 28 games with the River Rats this season.

Guite, 28, had one goal in five games with Colorado, two of the games being played after being recalled for the second time this season January 17 from Albany. He has nine goals and 19 assists with 20 penalty minutes in 35 games with the River Rats this season.

The River Rats, who have won two of their last three games, host the Syracuse Crunch Wednesday, January 24 at 7pm at the Times Union Center.
