
Belle, Ward back for Milwaukee showdown

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned D Shawn Belle and RW Joel Ward to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Ward, 26 (12/2/80), was recalled by the Wild for the third time this season on Jan. 18 and has recorded one assist, 11 shots on goal and averaged 7:32 of ice time in 10 games with Minnesota. The Toronto, Ontario-native made his NHL debut Dec. 16 and recorded an assist for his first NHL point Dec. 26 at Toronto.
Belle, 22 (1/3/85), was recalled by Minnesota on Jan. 12 for the second time this season and has notched one assist, four penalty minutes and averaged 9:51 of ice time in eight games with the Wild. The 6-foot-2, 238-pound defenseman made his NHL debut Dec. 1 and tallied his first NHL point the following night with an assist at Dallas on Dec. 2.
