Cruz returns to Kernels

Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release

The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced today that right-handed pitcher Rafael Cruz has rejoined the team after a short stay with the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees.

Rafael did not appear in any games for Salt Lake while with the team. He will be in uniform and travel with the team to Saturday's game in Clinton.

The Kernels roster now stands at 25 players, the maximum allowed by the MWL.

Cedar Rapids is in the middle of a four games with the Clinton Lumber Kings. They return home to open an eight-game homestand on Tuesday, May 16th against the Swing of the Quad Cities.
