Crunch Sign Defenseman Rob LaLonde

Syracuse, NY (February 12, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Rob LaLonde to a professional tryout contract.

LaLonde, 26, has appeared in 27 games with Reading (ECHL) this season, tallying four goals, 13 assists and 53 penalty minutes. He has also skated in seven games with Iowa this year, recording six penalty minutes.

A native of Williamsville, New York, LaLonde has appeared in 17 career American Hockey League games with Lowell (Lock Monsters), Binghamton and Iowa, notching one assist and 27 penalty minutes.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, February 13 as they battle Grand Rapids at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
