he New York-Penn League has released the rosters for 2016 All-Star Game in Fishkill, NY. The Hudson Valley Renegades will host the 12th annual New York-Penn League All-Star game on Tuesday, August 16th at Dutchess Stadium.
The rosters consist of two players at every infield position, two catchers, six outfielders and 10 pitchers. The Mahoning Valley Scrappers and West Virginia Black Bears each have six players on Team South, while the host Hudson Valley Renegades lead Team North with seven players. In 2015, the Williamsport Crosscutters placed a record eight players on Team North.
The North Team will be comprised of players from Auburn, Batavia, Connecticut, Hudson Valley, Lowell, Tri-City, and Vermont; and the South Team will be represented by players from Aberdeen, Brooklyn, Mahoning Valley, State College, Staten Island, West Virginia and Williamsport.
Williamsport Crosscutters picked to play in the game are; RHP Adonis Medina, LHP Ranger Suarez and OF Jesus Alastre.
See the brightest stars of tomorrow as the New York-Penn League all-stars make their way to Hudson Valley to showcase their talent in the Late-Summer Classic. First-pitch is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. and a post-game fireworks display will round out the event.
