The Williamsport Crosscutters lost 4-1 Saturday evening to the State College Spikes. The Spikes post four runs off Crosscutters starter Drew Naylor over the game's first four innings. State College got on the board in the second with a pair of runs, and added single tallies in the next two frames. The Cutters left eight on base and provided no run support for Naylor (6-5), who added six strikeouts to his league leading total. Williamsport out hit State College nine to seven over the course of the game, but managed only an eighth-inning run on a single by Michael Taylor. Taylor and Phillip Cuevas each had a pair of hits for the Crosscutters, which have lost two straight and seven of their last ten.
